Funeral Director
Beloved husband of Pamela, passed away peacefully, aged 93, at Oak Lodge Care Home on 23rd October 2020. A testament to Stan’s tenacity and the care he received from Oak Lodge, is that he was admitted for palliative care in April 2016. A life so cheerfully lived will be cheerfully remembered. Your ever loving wife Pamela.
Much loved father of Ann, Peter, Glynis, Lydia, David, Helen, Louise and Christopher. ‘Dad’ to Bob, Jane, Snowy, Dave and Trudy. Playing grandad one of his favourite songs “In a Monastery Garden” by Albert W Ketelbey. Edited version by Marino Van Wakeren because he enjoyed us chirping along to the birds whilst we massaged his head.

Rest in peace Grandad ❤️

The love of his life 💕

My head bursts of memories when I think of Grandad. The way he would squeeze us if we got too close, digger rides, long happy sunny days spent at the field. He was fun, stubborn, strong, proud and full of love for his family. Oh and he loved a selfie 💕💕

A cheeky 15 year old who 'upped' his age to get to sea - and then spent four years in the Merchant Navy including the Arctic convoys to Russia in the Second World War
