It is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of Ken Hopgood (Hoppy), on Tuesday 29th September 2020, aged 79 years, at his home in Stratton. Beloved Dad of Alan, Debbie and Catherine, cherished Brother of Russ, Ray, Jean, Joyce (deceased), Pat (deceased), Doreen and Gwen, and a much loved Grandad to all his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

A 'drive past' will take place on Tuesday 27th October at 12:30pm.
The Cortege will commence at Stratton Estate, then turn right along the A39, to the second/top Stratton entrance, to go past “All The P’s” (Townsend), through Stratton Town to Lavender Cottage where Ken lived. Then from here, up Union Hill, New Road, back down Hospital Road to Lavender Cottage again, and finally to the Church for 1.00pm.

We have so many good memories of Hoppy in the King's Arms. Such a lovely man.
At least he saw his beloved Liverpool win the premier league before he left us.
Rest in peace our friend.

Hoppy..... a true Stratton legend. Spent many of times as a kid in the kings watching football, altho not in peace. Normally winding me up about why I should support your rubbish team. You look back on those days and Stratton was thriving, good people like you and uggy will always come up in Stratton pub folklore and forever be remembered.
