Bob was a wonderful friend with a ton of integrity a big heart. I will always remember Bob with a ton of energy, young in both mind & heart a love for life and passion for the local community. We worked on a number of projects over the past 20 years and enjoyed a few pints and a few laughs. My condolences to his wonderful wife Hillary and family. I will miss him but remember him with great fondness. Rest in peace

Sue, Hillary & family...thank you so much for allowing me to share Bob's funeral remotely - I SO wanted to reach out & give you both a huge hug (not that we'd be allowed to anyway!) Some people light up a room, Bob lit up Petersfield. SO lucky that Ralfi brought us together.. a real privilege knowing Bob & sharing a laugh over Ralf (although I know he preferred Dachsunds.. shhh don;t tell Ralfi) xxx

So many memories, Bob will be missed by so many. He was the one that got me into local politics. A great mentor, a great friend and more than that a huge personality. Petersfield won’t be the same without him

Wonderful memories of my Uncle Bob at my wedding in Newcastle in November 2018. ❤️ Bob loved the North East of England where his wife Hilary grew up and was a keen supporter of Newcastle United.

Bob was an inspirational character and a great friend to many people from all walks of life. It is through Bob that the long-standing friendship between darts players in Petersfield and Bothel in northern Germany (The Young Boys) began and this friendship has been maintained to the present day, over 27 years.

Bob always looked forward to this annual exchange and was highly regarded by both teams. The friendship is enduring and has always been a positive experience thanks to Bob's good humour and generous nature.

  • He has always loved his darts! One of my earliest memories is sitting in the Old Drum garden with a bottle of lemonade, a straw and a bag of crisps whilst no doubt Dad was at the oki. Thank you for your generous donation to a charity close to our hearts x

  • Hi Sandra, thank you for your kind words which are a great comfort to us and for your generous donation. Such a shame we can't give Dad the send off he deserves due to Covid-19 but you will be able to attend the funeral virtually or indeed just raise a glass to him on Thursday the 3rd September xx
