In loving memory of Leo, a much loved husband, father and Grandfather who sadly passed away on 28th July 2020 after a short but brave battle with cancer. As some of you may know Leo hurt his back the week before "lockdown" started, after two trips to A&E he had scans which revealed he had non small cell lung cancer which had spread to his liver and his bones. It was a great shock to us all.

The initial plan was to have treatment but it was so aggressive we ran out of time. He was his cheeky opinionated self until the end and he passed away peacefully in the tender care of St Leonard's Hospice with Ann and Emma at his bedside.

With covid restrictions still in place on funerals we are only allowed 18 people at the service and it has been very hard to decide who we can invite.
The crematorium have asked that people don't congregate on the grounds to pay there last respects, but we have asked that Leo's final drive can go from the house towards Copmanthorpe so if you would like to say a final good bye we will leave the house at around 12.30 on the 11th August. We will drive towards Copmanthorpe down the long track at the side of the railway line towards Colliers plant hire by Copmanthorpe railway bridge. If anyone wishes to be there there is lots of room to park up at the side of the road and wait to watch him pass by on his final journey.

Obviously Leo deserves a better send off than this and many people are unable to attend his funeral but as soon as restrictions are lifted we will be organising a big celebration of life so we can all get together to raise a glass or 5 to dad.

Such a loss. Leo was always able to help with whatever task was being carried out. Leo and Ann always made Maggie and me very welcome and can remember the times he entetertained our grand daughter Fern who called him"Eo".
You will be surely missed.

Wonderful memories of very special times shared with Leo Anne and Emma, diving around the UK and abroad. Kind, helpful and entertaining, Leo brought so much to every occasion I was lucky enough to share with him. He will be so missed and my heart goes out to you Anne, Emma, Rich and Daisy and all his close friends and family.
