In loving memory of Caleb Declan Jude Smith, who sadly passed away on 6th May 2020, aged 6 years of age after 1 year of such a hard and long enduring battle with an incredibly rare type of brain cancer.

Those that had the pleasure of meeting Caleb all say he was such a happy and funny little boy with such a cheeky twinkle in his eyes.
As his parents we completely agree with this and have had the joy of 6 nearly 7 years of those moments, especially as despite his treatment plan of such intense cycles, and multiple surgeries, he still always had a smile on his face. The strength and courage our Caleb shown was out of this world, and he inspired all of us to continue even during our darkest times.
He loved all of his family and friends. His relationship with his mother was unbreakable, he adored her so much. He would squeeze her hand daily three times to indicate "I ,Love, You".
Caleb and his Dads relationship was almost brotherly like they'd just knew how to cheer each other up despite the dark days that presented themselves. Both enjoying dancing to twenty one pilots and just being silly together.
Caleb's characteristics were infectious with all his loved ones. This very boy touch many hearts with just his sheer presence.
He loved playing Pokemon with everyone, his favourite character was Lucario. Most importantly he loved the Flash, who was his favourite superhero, and we would regularly discuss if he would win in a race against the Flash. He never understood how he was the true superhero and everyone else's inspiration.
Despite being only 6 he was already set on his football team and loved Chelsea FC, Ruben Loftus-cheek being his favourite player. He owned two Chelsea football kits and promised that one day he'll play for them for mummy and daddy.

He was an extremely determined little man and will never, ever be forgotten.

Our Baby Boy, Our Young Sir, Our Little Lion Man , Our Flash. xx

Caleb you battled a fight so strong,
With that contagious smile,
Your twinkle never gone.
God saw you was special
Saw it was tour time to rest.
He held out his hand
As he only takes the best.

Touched so many hearts
So for ever and ever
Your spirit will live on.

Sleep tight sweet boy.
