On 5th May 2020, in hospital, of Birstall, aged 82 years, Peter, devoted husband of the late Stella, very much loved dad of Lee and Phillip, dear father in law of Sam, dearly loved grandad of Lewis, Summer, Luke, Ryan, Daisee and Eve, and proud great-grandad of Ozzy.
He was one in a million.
Due to the current guidelines family and friends are asked to gather at Bronte Road, Birstall on Thursday 21st May 2020 at 12.15pm to see him off on his journey, he will take a final drive through Birstall, before a final glance at ‘the Mount’ before arriving at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium for a private family ceremony at 1pm.

I have only just seen this. I have fond memories of Peter (who was my Dad's cousin). I always enjoyed chatting with him at bowls and used to bump into him sometimes at Spenborough Pool where he took Summer swimming. RIP
To Lee and Phil...really sorry to hear about Peter. I have good memories of times at the Taverners bowling club, cigar smoke, messing in the near derelict members hut and Pete buying us drinks to keep us quiet....accompanying us to training at Batley Crusaders and treating us to 'bag of scraps' on way home.
Good times and great memories of a real gent.

Wedding day Peter and stella
I remember the day well. I was drivers mate on the day. When we got to pick up Aunty Stella. She was stood on her doorstep waiting for us. She was Stunning, I became Shy, and couldn't leave the car. Proberbally the only time in my life I was GOBSMACKED. RIP Peter and Stella.
He was such a lovely character we always had a giggle when he came to birstall surgery, good night god bless Peter. From Dawn
