In loving memory of Ruth Lewis who passed away peacefully at her home in Barton Mews, Barton under Needwood aged 92 years, on 19th May 2020 with her daughter Susan by her side. Ruth was the Wife of the late George Lewis of Weeford, where they lived for over 60 years, loving Mum of Susan, Janet and the late David and a much loved and treasured Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother, affectionately known as Minnie and Little Nannie. Ruth was a wonderful Auntie and Friend to many and she will be greatly missed by all.
Although Ruth loved looking at the many flowers that grew in George's garden she did not like to see them cut so it is the family request, if wished that donations in memory be given to the NHS where 4 of her grandchildren work on the front line at this terrible time, or to St Mary's Church where she worshipped and supported for all the time she lived there.

Sue Lewis donated £50 in memory of Ruth

Dear Mum. You were such a great fund raiser. You would have been surprised and delighted with all this giving in memory of you! And remembered so warmly.
Love Sue

Sally Kennedy donated £25 in memory of Ruth

I have so many happy memories with gran. Firstly beginning on the farm helping at the farm shop and having yummy chips from a paper bag. Then teaching me so many card games playing for hours. Can also remember spending lots of my school holidays helping gran in the kitchen thinking of something different for dinner. My favourite memory is visiting many different National Trust houses and many hours talking about them but mostly gran made me smile xxxxx

Aunty Ruth was my favourite Aunty. I spent many happy times at their home in Weeford with my cousins David, Susan and Janet.
She taught me thrift for my Girl Guides Thrift Badge and I have been thrifty ever since.
Rest in Peace, Aunty Ruth, you deserve it
Love from Marian Walpole and family
