Jeff,

We still can’t believe that we are writing these words and were not really sure where to start as we have such fond memories of you. Myself and you’re wife Roma we’re friends before you both we’re together and from the moment she introduced you to me, we knew you were her soul mate and our forever friend. We will forever admire you’re personality and strength that you managed to uphold continuously even when times got pretty tough and that big smile of yours never left you’re face. We will treasure every memory that myself, Vic and you’re beloved wife Roma made together, we have made so many from all our years of friendship it’s hard to choose a favourite. We can promise you that whenever we think of one, that smile of yours is now on our faces remembering all the good time’s we had together. We can tell you that as the years pass by you’re always have a special place in our hearts as a very special friend. Good night and god bless, our love Vic and Mary Cresswell. Xxxx

Wonderful memories of Uncle Jeff's smiling face, unusual turn of phrase (from Devon and the Navy) and his diy skills, which covered everything from fitting a radiator or fixing lights, to helping put in fence posts and panels. We will forgive him from supporting Tottenham. Thinking of you all.

Great memories of Jeff, meeting him at Chatham Navy Days when I was about 10...wondering who this guy was talking to my auntie. Then years later he was helping re wire our first flat in Crouch End! Great memories, Love to Roma and family

Hello Sailor, Hello Sailor, Hello Sailor, This is the Old Soldier and the Camp Follower calling. So many good memories of our youthful days in Devon and the years after. Your duty is done Jeff, as we used to say " It's time to up stumps and head back to the pavilion" .Your watch is over. RIP. It has been a privilege and an honour to be able to call you our friend. You made your mark on this planet is all you can ask and the World will be a lesser place without you. Farewell Jeff, we will miss you. Much love to Roma and all the family.

It was a joy to call you a friend. We have so many happy memories of great times in each other's homes in Spain and UK. Long lazy lunches and dinners with family and friends and also recent memories made together in Edinburgh. Sleep tight Jeff.
