In loving memory of Mrs Helen Penelope Dreyer who sadly passed away at the Heart Of Kent Hospice on 17 April 2020 aged 54 years after a tiresome battle with cancer.

Helen was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, on 25 August 1965. Along with her father and mother, Ray and Brenda Tarr, as well as her brother, Aubrey, and sister, Cheryl, Helen moved to South Africa in 1981.

Helen is survived by her devoted husband, Tienie Dreyer, whom she married in 1983 and their adoring sons Marius and Neil on whom she doted.

In 2009, after raising their two sons in Richards Bay, Kwa-Zulu Natal surrounded by faithful friends, treasured family and sunny memories, Helen and Tienie immigrated to England.

Helen became an integral member of the Larkfield Community Church where her and Tienie have made beloved friends, who helped them through much of Helen’s struggle.

Helen took much joy in working in the Clock House Farm admin team and connecting with all her supportive peers and farm workers.

Helen loved to cook, bake and spend time in the garden; friends and family will fondly reminisce over the many hours of laughter and stories shared over her homely meals in the back garden.

Helen had a genuine presence that allowed everyone around her to blossom. She believed in and inspired every one around her. Helen was the sun and we the flowers, opening our hearts and blooming in her light.

Helen, a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, is heart-brokenly missed and will live on in our hearts and be remembered in love for her courageous spirit, boundless heart and her infectious love of life and laughter.

Dear Helen was and still is a special part of Meg and my life in our discovery of life with Christ. Together our families with the Kruger family was a voyage of discovering life in the "Kingdom of God". We all had great fun times together. Helen's smiles and warm hospitality was so genuine and we will miss her terribly. Our hearts go out to Tienie, Marius and Neil. We know that we will see see Helen again. Dear Helen
You have been a true friend and you will be sorely missed. When I think of you, I think of your amazing courage and strength you showed the whole way through your Myeloma. I think of happy times shared together, and our shared love of so many things, but of course including gardening, baking, rugby and tennis. Wherever you were, laughter was never far away, but your kindness and caring for others was also amongst the qualities I also came to associate with you.
Helen, I am so going to miss you.

Dearest Aunty Helen, you may have not been blood but you have been such a beautiful influence and Aunty to us. The memories we have of you sitting around your kitchen table in Richards Bqy, baking your famous chocolate cake, rusks or having us over for supper. Your home like your heart was always open and warm filled with love and the sound of your laughter made it a happy and second home to us. Everything you stood for was so evident in the way you lived, loved and cared for those around you. We will miss you dearly and we will continue to remember you and carry what you taught us with us through our journey here. Rest Sweetly xoxo Kaylee&Amanda

Goodbye Helen for now. You were always so vibrant and full of life. Your infectious personality and laugh made people want to be around you. You were an inspiration to many for your love towards Tienie, your young men, Ashton and family. Often we would see your unconditional love rising above your challenges and this is testament to Christ living in you. We only have fond happy memories of our wonderful and great friendships, the camping in Sedgefield, Ballito, the many braais and conversations around life and alignment of our faith to our challenges, and so much more. Your chocolate cake is a mystery even if we have your recipe .... Thank you for your genuine consistent friendship and love you gave Jennie, Kaylee, Amanda and myself. Thanks for being our Amanda's UK mum and for everything you did and welcomed her into your home as your own. Tienie, Marius & Ashton and Neil, our deep condolences to you all. We love you and are praying for you all. May our Lord's hand of mercy, grace and peace be upon you during this time of weeping for your beloved wife and mom. Until we meet again, love Mark, Jennie, Kaylee & family and Amanda

My vrou (My wife)
Helen I do not have the words to put down what is in my heart down.
During the last 4 years we had bad times and we had good times, but at the end of the day you always stayed strong and never gave up fighting.
Your favorite scripture describes you the best.
Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding"

I love you and will always carry you in my heart.
Till we meet again one day in glory.

Your loving Husband
