On 13th April at Airedale Hospital. Barbara aged 88 years of Cross Hills. Beloved wife of the late Jack, much loved mum of Karen and Graham, loving nana of Samantha, Thomas, Ryan, Jack, Nathan and Ashleigh and a loving great nana. A private funeral will take place at this time, a memorial service will be held later in the year.

In the 80's and beyond, the whole Rushworth family looked forward to its regular Sunday get-to- gethers with Auntie Barabara and Uncle Jack. This carried-on even after the sad losses of Jack and Bev. I renember running the gautlet of an agitated little dog when picking her up. Another experience that was typical of Auntie Barabara was getting a mouthfull of tea leaves, in tea without warning - typical no fuss., no heirs, no graces.
It's strange when writting a eulogy, but I still think of Auntie Barbara as indistructable, blunt and unchanging. A Yorkshire Lass to the end. She could skin rabbits with her bare-hands but always talked about her family (including her extended family) with tenderness and pride.
She will be greatly missed.
