Syd Wilkinson (17 May 1949 - 27 Feb 2020)

On behalf of myself and my family Claire, David, Stephen, Nichola, Luke, Oliver and Izzy a huge thank you to everyone who attended Syd’s funeral. We did not get to speak to everyone, it was impossible, but to know so many people cared was lovely.

Syd was the most kindest loving generous man you could wish to meet, and he would give his last penny away. He had the most infectious smile and personality, a true diamond to us all.

Syd was so proud of his little family, they meant the world to him and if possible, he will be even prouder now.

As a mam seeing them so hurt is heartbreaking. Cherish every precious moment you have with your loved ones. Life is so cruel in the blink of an eye you can lose someone you love so suddenly, our lives will never be the same without this amazing man who was and is loved so much.

Thank you to my sister Ann,Norman and Sam for their help and support. Thank you to Syd’s family and all our friends, love to you all.
As Irene told me the pain never goes away, but you learn to live with it.

On behalf of my mam and sister we wanted to say a huge thank you for everyone’s generous donations at my dads funeral. We raised £1,008 to split between the two charities. Thank you for everyone’s support in what has been a very tough time for our family.

On the 27th Feb 2020. I was informed that my brother Sid had gained his wings they say God only takes the best well in this case he did, He had a heart of gold would give you his last penny, always the life and soul of the party, loved all of his Family but most of all his own Family his Wife Mary,Claire, & Son David not forgeting their Partners Steven & Nicola but last but not least he adored his Grandkids. I know now he,ll be hugging Mam & Dad & all he knew when he gets up to Heaven, So untill we meet again Big Bro RIP. SID XXX

I am gutted to hear you’ve gained your angel wings uncle Syd. Gone too soon you were as fit as a fiddle and it’s such a shock. You truly were one of a kind. Always had a smile on your face and such a kind, funny, loving person. My thoughts are with my auntie Mary, our Claire and David and all the family. You will never be forgotten and missed forever.
