It is with the greatest sadness that we announce our beloved Husband, Dad and Grumps, Simon passed away peacefully in his sleep following a short, hard-fought battle with illness on Saturday 15th February.

Those of you who knew Simon will know what a devastating blow to our hearts this will leave us with, but we are all so grateful to have had so many years of shared love and laughter together.

A true family man who lived for us; He took all life threw at him with a smile and never let it get him down, as he would say "That's life!"

For Friends and Family who want to join us to say goodbye to Simon, the celebration of his life will be held at Wessex Vale on Wednesday 4th March at 10 am. All are invited to continue to share memories with the family after the celebration.

If you wish to make a donation in Simon's honour, we have chosen to support MacMillan for the care and comfort they provided him with over the last few months and the Woolston Sunday lunch Project who ensure homeless and low-income people have a hot meal - a charity close to his heart and the place he loved to live.

Please address all donation enquires to Waters & Sons (Telephone: 023 80 43 42 44 website: www.watersandsons.co.uk) or contribute to the collection we will be holding on the 4th March.

So Sad that Simon has been taken from you so soon.
These should have been the best days now of your lives.
But fate sometimes deals us a rubbish hand.
Our hearts go out to all of you.
Keep his memory alive, in your hearts! 💕💕

Thank you for thinking of us and remembering my wonderful dad.
If you would like to donate, we would love it if you would contact the funeral director directly and we can then give the money direct to the McMillan unit dad was involved with and to the lunch club project as they do not have a just giving site.
Many thanks to all
