Vera was a dear friend to our family and a kind and supportive godmother to me. I have many fond memories of her at family occasions and trips to the theatre when we were young.

Vera will be missed by us all. I worked with Vera for many years at the London School of Economics, actually we shared an office together. I learnt a lot from Vera and I really missed her when she left and still missing her now. I really do have fond memories of this lovely, kind Lady.

Rest in peace Vera.

My mother was also called Vera, had a similar spirit, and similar challenges in later life. But the lovely photo is how I will remember your Vera.

I was sad to hear of Vera's passing. She helped me a great deal when I became head of department at LSE in 1996. I also recall how happy she was when she announced her retirement a few years later. I hope it was a rich and happy one.
RIP Vera.

I was sad to hear that Vera has passed away. It was easy to work with Vera because she was fair, honest and direct. She was also kind and sensitive. Although she has now passed away, her memory is still very much alive in my mind.

Vera was a pleasure to work with. Underneath her brisk efficiency she had a very kind heart.

I was head of Department when Vera was the departmental manager. She ran everything very well in a no-nonsense way. We had connecting offices but I smoked a pipe. The connection was soon blocked off.
