So very sad to hear this news, his happy smiling face was a fixture in many of the early folk clubs in Nottingham, and he was very friendly to all who went, particularly newcomers. Lovely man.

He was generous to a fault, sharing everything he had. He gave generously of his time and taught many people to play musical instruments and sing. He had many friends, some of them spanning over 50 years. Amongst the very special ones are Tony Hallam, Don Fletcher,Paul Wapplington & Don & Jo Redwood.
His life was rich and he loved bringing people together to play music. He ran Music Sessions in Beeston for over 25 years-firstly at The Crown, then The Vic and lastly The Star Inn on Middle Street.
He was Lead singer in The Scheme an Anglo/Irish Folk band and many happy nights were spent in The Britannia, Parliament Street, Nottingham
