In loving memory of Muriel Perry (nee Coxon) who passed away peacefully at The Laurels Nursing Home on Friday 15th November 2019, aged 98 years.
Beloved wife of the late Sydney, a dearly loved mother of Stephen and Anne, a dear mother-in-law of Jean and David, and grandmother to Alison and Amy.

Muriel spent her whole life in Derby, attending Central School (which later became Homelands) and later taking secretarial qualifications. During the second world war, she met her future husband, Sydney whilst he was stationed in Derby. They married in 1947 and remained together for over 50 years until his death in 1998.
Muriel worked at the former Derbyshire Royal Infirmary since the inception of NHS in 1948 until retirement in 1983. For the last 19 years of her working life she was secretary to the Group Catering Manger.
After Sydney's death, Muriel made great efforts to make a new life for herself - joining the Women's Institute and various lunch clubs and enjoying many holidays with her new circle of lady friends.
In 2014, Muriel moved into full-time residential care at Raynesway View where she remained until shortly before her death.
