Lived a full and colourful life across the 74years. Always a deal to be done and a new venture to pursue. Dad had his share of tough times and bounty in equal measures and there was never a dull moment. Everyone will have their own memories or stories that will keep his memory alive - he made his mark!! Sending you on with love from your son Dan and daughter Saffron xxx

When our mother died, Richard and I went to live with her sister and husband (Aunty Phil and Uncle Jack). When Dad remarried, Richard left to live with them and I remained. I remember odd incidents of my big brother living with us, but more from later, since he regularly came to stay for the weekends. We usually went to the Saturday morning 'Flicks', watching Muffin the Mule, Hopalong Cassidy, and Rocket Man (a superhero who certainly failed the test of time). Invariably, during the film show, Richard would pick an argument with someone, resulting in the invitation to meet outside the cinema afterwards. And, being generous in the need to share, he usually managed to find someone with a younger brother for me to fight! We gradually grew apart, but as a young boy growing up, he was my hero and I loved him...

I'm so sorry for your loss, it's always so hard to lose a parent. I am his cousin, my mum and his dad were siblings. I was an only child and looked forward to the times I spent at the farm with all my cousins. We just reconnected on Facebook which I'm so glad about. I hope you will remember all the good times fondly. Love to you all Nesta
