Gloria Fausta Juman, 72, of St Lucia, passed away in her sleep, early in the morning on Tuesday 8 October 2019.

Gloria was born in Castries, St Lucia on 19 December 1946 to her mother Lillian Messe; a few years later Alvin was born and completed their family. Gloria was educated in St. Lucia; at 19 years old she moved to the UK and pursued a career in Nursing. Shortly thereafter, Gloria met her husband and had 3 children: Ricardo, Adrian and Damian.

Gloria was a devout Catholic, loving wife and mother to her family and dedicated nurse – diligently caring for people at work and every day in her personal life. Her professional calling, faith and family were quite simply the core of her being. Together, they were her moral compass, they gave her wisdom and strength, and showed others what unconditional love was.

Her warmth, generosity and cheeky sense of humour touched many lives and endeared her to people from all walks of life. She remained heavily involved in the Church, close to her family and always willing to pass along her medical knowledge and experience to those in need.

Sadly, Gloria was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early 2018. She fought every step of the way, gracefully undergoing all available treatments. Earlier this year, the cancer spread to her liver which led to her decline and eventual passing.

Gloria is survived by her sons, Ricardo, Adrian and Damian Juman. She also leaves behind grandchildren: Jamie, Ashlee, Miah and Ricardo Jr; brother Alvin and other family relatives and friends.

Condolences to Gloria and family; Brother Alvin and his family are very close to my family and have expressed our sorrows through Alvin.
We had met Gloria a couple of times in Calgary, Alberta Canada and she was full of life.
We will remember her as the joyful person she was. She is in good hands and resting peacefully.

Sending condolences to all the family.
Gloria a beautiful and gracious personality, a replica of her Mum. We miss them both and look forward to seeing them again in paradise when their short sleep finishes with Jesus call to come out.
