Christopher John Webber (Chris) (19 Mar 1932 - 27 Aug 2019)

In loving memory of Chris Webber who sadly passed away at Queen's Hospital on 27th August 2019, aged 87 years. Chris will be very sadly missed by all who knew him.
Chris graduated from Cambridge and entered his career as an aeronauticatical engineer at Rolls Royce, ending his career as head of the RB211-524 the RR engine used in the Boeing 757. After his retirement he continued in work for some time in an advisory position heading up the CAD and IT Dept.
In 1997 after many happy years of marriage he lost his first wife of 42 years Kathy Webber, mother to Andrew, David (d.2003), and Catherine.
In 2006 he married Gill, who he sadly lost after 12 years in 2018.
Chris travelled widely abroad throughout his life, Canada during some of the war years,backpacking through Europe to ask for Kathy's hand in marriage, holidays camping with the family, working for RR and in later years with Gill.
Chris loved to read, listen to music, woodworking and electronics, and working in the garden.
