(Woody, Big Bri) – Passed away suddenly on 15th June at his home in Hilton, Derbyshire. Formerly from Immingham, born in Leicester, he was a cherished husband to Jill, loving father and best mate to sons Tony and Jim, much loved father in law to Jo and Sam and a very proud grandfather to Katie, Betsy, Thomas and Charlie. The funeral service will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Friday 5th July, kick off 3pm followed by a gathering to celebrate Brian’s life at the Stallingborough Grange Hotel, Stallingborough, DN41 8BU. The family request no flowers but donations are welcomed and will be split equally between the British Heart Foundation and Macmillan Cancer Support. The family also ask for you to wear something blue in memory of his beloved Leicester City Football Club with the wearing of flat caps welcome too.

What a great lad, Bri was. Much respected by myself, a joker, a story teller and just plain brilliant. Totally scared of him when I was a kid but proud and privileged to get to know him as an adult. To all the fam, my deepest condolences, keep on , keeping on...Go Foxes and Keep The Faith. Love Simon

Uncle Brian was an amazing man a, loving, committed family man. I remember when I was little I was a little scared of him, but as I grew up I realized he was a big soft bear and I loved him very much. Uncle Brian will be much missed by all.

Yesterday we said our goodbyes Dad. I’d like to think we did you proud with all the little touches that meant so much but more importantly the stories and words we shared. Betsy, Tom and Charlie did you proud they’ve had the best mentor. We miss you dearly, you made us , moulded us and cared for us. Don’t worry about Jilly Babes she’s in safe hands. You will always be our hero ❤️

What a lovely photo of Brian taken just a year ago. So pleased we were able to spend some quality time with Jill and Brian. Such fond memories of our cousin who will be sadly missed.
