In loving memory of Margaret Rose Ford who sadly passed away on 5th March 2019. Margaret was a very special lady who gained a special place in our hearts from a young age. Giving was her forte, whether that was in love, time or effort. In fact, nothing was too much for Marg, she was always here when someone needed a helping hand or honest advice. Our hearts ache imagining our lives without her by our side. Forever loved and never forgotten.

Suzanne Bettley donated £34.50 in memory of Margaret

Five years ago Margaret agreed to come and work with me, we were in fact "match made" by a marvellous mutual client who could see that I needed help and that Margaret had all of the experience and ability I could wish for when it comes to selling womens hats.

I instantly warmed to her friendly manner and frank no-nonsense approach, and her passion for hats and committment to her work proved to be outstanding. I remember the first day that she spent with me in the Enclosure at Henley Royal Regatta selling hats to the public. We were mobbed by the crowds but Margaret was in her element; to see the hats we worked so hard to produce selling like hot cakes to an admiring audience, totally thrilled her! Same goes for whenever we had a particularly good trade fair, or an unexpectedly large order from a shop.

Nothing was too much trouble for Margaret; throughout the back-breaking work of setting up our showrooms, or a day spent in our cold warehouse packing boxes she always maintained her enthusiasm and would share a laugh and a joke. She truly had my back and I am eternally grateful for it.

I miss my wonderful friend and colleague who was taken from us too soon, and I offer my deepest condolences to her family and many friends.

RIP dearest Margaret.

  • I loved reading this message Suzanne. You summed her up nicely. She had all our backs, especially mine! I guess I will have to grow up now I don't have my safety net. Much love, Laura x

So shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Margaret Ford who was a work colleague and friend of mine in the 1990s.
A lovely lady who i often bumped in to at Eltham High Street and visited when we worked at Embassy Microfilm Bureau .
Thinking of Margarets family and close friend Elaine Walters at this incredibly sad time .
Will miss you Margaret R.I.P Xxx

I have known Margret for over 45years, l knew I would be friends with her the moment l met her in the Carpenters Arms Eltham.
I can recall her pretty face Framed by her dark curly hair, her lovely smile and her spikey eyelashes.
Margaret to me has been a dear friend, generous in her nature, open in her views, with a friendly manner that people loved her for.
Margaret will be desperately missed by many.
My family grew to love Margaret and considered her part of the family.
Beautiful memories of a beautiful person. ❤️

  • Thank you Joan for your beautiful message! It's so nice to hear how she touched other people's lives. She certainly was generous in nature - the most generous and unselfish person I know. We are so lucky to have been blessed with her in our lives xxx
