Hi
I am a frenchmen, jef, and met Alan years ago ,around 1985 something when i came to Bottesford to see another friend ,Geoff Brindley and his daughter Lehanne who had ,at that time bought a Mill in France near Les Herbiers,Vendée.Through Geoff,Alan became a friend and he brought me to Newmarket (i think) and near Notthigam ,where he was racing . We left Bottesford in his red(?)citroen BX and had a very good time together ( and few pints!) Unfortunately, years goes on and i lost contact with Alan and Geoff ,probably dead also, but never forgot them so ,and even if i learn his death 5 years after his passing, i want to give you my thoughts and tell you i have only good memories with Alan ...R I P my friend ...

Alan was my first friend when starting in the racing stables Mick easterbys. Sheriff hutten we went to barn dances And all we had to get there was an old Honda 50 me driving him on the back sometimes in the thick fog we got lost many times didn’t know where we were we all lived in an old farmhouse on our 7 pound a week but such good times so sad to hear that he passed away lots of memories my condolences

My condolences to all family and friends
Alan should never ride out this time of life.
Thanks for the good times God Bless You

On white horses
let me ride away
To my world of dreams
so far away
Let me run
to the sun
To a world my heart
can understand
It's a gentle, warm
and wonder land
Far away
Stars away
Where the clouds
are made of candyfloss
As the day is born
When the stars
are gone
we'll race to
meet the dawn
So when I can
only see the grey
Of a sad and
very lonely day
that's when I
softly sigh
On white horses
Snowy white horses
Let me ride away
Jacket and Thai xx

My deepest deepest sympathy to all of Alan’s family.
I will forever hold fond memories of our time working together at Micks, many moons ago.
The laughs we had travelling home on the train, then cruising home, with the windows down, the music blasting, out of his pride car (Capri ) ..
You will always remain the big brother in my eyes ...
RIP Bud, taken far too soon xx
