David McKay Fyfe (Passed away 4 Dec 2017)

In loving memory of David McKay Fyfe who sadly passed away on 4th December 2017.

Born 12th March 1938 to James and Christine Fyfe and brother to Marjorie.

David enjoyed growing up in and around Glasgow and joined the Royal Air force where he progressed to Sergeant before retiring. David continued to work in the security services until he retired early in the new millennium.

David married Maureen when based in Kenya and soon they had started on their own family.

David enjoyed sports, musicals, and adventure along with detective books and TV programs, but most of all David lived for his family; he was a bedrock for support for his children and was proud of their achievements and always there for Maureen and the boys. Mark and Robert both now have their own families, and David enjoyed the title of Grandad to Richard, Steven, Scot, Victoria, Angelica, Kayla, Gabby, Bella, Connor and Cameron. He also enjoyed being great grandad to Aidan and Louis.

Although David travelled the world, his favourite location was Scotland and he liked to travel back to Scotland to visit his family and to follow Partick Thistle and the Scotland football team. In his spare time, David enjoyed DIY projects and, on many weekends, he and the boys would look to do small improvements around the house or fix the family car.

In his quiet moments, David liked to read mystery books and detective stories and always enjoyed British detective programs.

He will be missed by those he leaves behind.
