In loving memory of Russell John Hames ('Bill') who sadly passed away on 21st August 2017 after a very long but very brave fight against Alzheimer's.

Bill was the most amazing, kind, loving and vibrant person who lit up a room when he walked in to it. The most important thing in Bill's life was his family and his friends (and real ale!!!!).

As a family we are heart broken and miss him so much but we would like you to help us celebrate his life on 8th September 2017 at 2.45pm at Bramcote Crematorium Serenity Chapel. Please also join us at the Vat & Fiddle pub, Queensbridge Road, Nottingham, NG2 1Nb afterwards.

Whilst flowers are lovely, if you would prefer please make a donation on the Just Giving Section of this page to Alzheimer's Society or send to C Terry Funeral Services, 244 Bulwell High Road, Bulwell, Nottingham, NG6 8NU. A donation box will also be available at the funeral.

Bill was such a bright person we would love it if you could all wear something bright. be as outrageous as you like !!!

John Davis donated £20 in memory of Russell

Bill was a friendly guy who was taken far too early, R.I.P

Where to start? So many happy memories you could write a book. From putting the world to right in “The Glue Pot” to various adventures with “The Mountain Men”, not to mention sessions in Tenerife, and finally the quest for the perfect pint. Say no more.
Wherever you are Bill save us a seat and by the way it is your round. Peter & Jolene.
