Alan, my oldest cousin , it's been lovely getting to know you again over the last few years since that first family trip to Corfu - my mother and I walked for hours with you along the seafront that day and we talked about everything . You really enjoyed despite the fact you didn't like walking , but I think the 'refreshment' stops we made along the way must have helped .
I'm so happy we kept in touch after that , I know how much you appreciated a phone call - your infectious laugh and the way you would greet me was heartwarming. even in the last year when you weren't well . When I asked you if you would be well enough to make the second trip to Corfu last October for Andrew's wedding , you bellowed down the phone "Well I got to really haven't I!" followed by that raucous laugh that will always be yours and yours alone . You never lost your sense of humour. Of course you would get there. And it was so lovely to see you again . Rest in peace Alan , lots of love, Kim, Steve, Dilys, Lindsay . Xxxx

Chris Booker donated £20 in memory of Alan

My old mate the Bins. I'll miss you Alan, but the memories of the drinks and laughs we had together over the years will keep me going until I see you again at the rugby club in the sky. And when I do see you again we can start where we left off, laughing and having an ale!

'The Keys are munching Brother, the Keys are munching'!

Rest in peace Alan, God bless.

Booker x

Always a gent. Your seat at the end of the bar at the park was empty for most of the time I was there last Saturday evening ?
My thoughts are with the family xx
