Enid Diana White Nee HUMBY

13.10.1947 – 02.12.2016

A battle bravely fought but sadly lost.

Sadly missed by all who knew her,
Nevermore than a thought away,
Loved and remembered everyday.

She was a loving Mum, Nan and Great Nan.

Re-united with Dad,
Rest in Peace.

Enid was born in Newbridge the youngest of 9 children to Alfred and Caroline Humby.
She was mum/ Nan to all who knew her. she always had a listening ear and great advise.
She never judged but always helped.
She was quick to speak her mind but also quick to forgive. She was the best hostess and life and soul of any party at home.
Home is not the same without her. She was the heart of the home.
If I can be half the lady she was I will be very happy. She was the most influential lady in my life and I was proud to call her Mum.

Mum, Through the hard times in my life you were always the one to get me through it, with a shoulder to cry on or a solution.
Now you are gone and back with Dad, at first I wondered who will pick me up when I fall? Then I realised that because you were the best mum anyone could wish for, you have given me a large loving family as well as bringing me up with the best guidance in life to go on with my wonderful wife and little family. I hope I can now put everything you have taught me into practice, I aspire to be the kind of you were to my step children, ensuring your legacy continues.
Without all of your hard work, support, love and guidance I'd be a very lonely girl right now.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, the place where you and Dad will always be
Sxxx

On the 2nd of December we said goodnight to the most incredible lady. So strong, caring and beautiful inside and out. Nothing was ever to much for her. Now I know everyone says my nan's the best, well i'm telling you she was perfect.
I've been extremely lucky to basically have a second mum. She was always there when I needed her..Now I knew I could play this to my advantage. When I was little mum used to send me straight back to bed if I had a bad dream. Well lucky me! Just downstairs there was nan who let me climb into her bed instead... haha sorry mum secrets out. Now for you guys who knew nan, she was someone you didn't want to get on the wrong side of. What kind of lady would see hells angels turn up to a party through the back door and march them straight back out through the front door! She was more than that though, she had the biggest heart and I have learnt so many skills from her. She was home the house feels empty without her. I always knew I was safe. When we lost grandad last year, everyone else fell to pieces, Nan had literally lost half of herself yet she was the brave one to comfort us all. She proved what incredible strength she had by being our rock and for someone who had never paid a bill on her own showed us she could face this daunting task of being on her own, head on. She was truly amazing.
It's hard to think your no longer here, my heart feels empty but it comforts me that your back in the place you have wanted to be. Back with my beautiful grandad who we all miss so much. Make sure you give him a kiss from us❤️. When Ollie and I look up to the sky we know your always looking over us. We are now privileged to have 2 guardian Angels. Kim Kardashian and Kayne West? Who? My Nan and Grandad are and forever will be my power couple. Good night Nanna En Love you always. ❤️

My Nanna En, I really don't there are enough wonderful words to describe how truly amazing you were. I was so lucky to have such a thoughtful, loving gentle kind person as my nan. Ollie and I love you so very much <3

My dearest Auntie Enid (Nan) such a wonderful caring lady whose life revolved around her family and loved ones. Taken far too soon but we are safe in the knowledge that you are looking over us from where you belong, in the arms of grandad Mick. I love you, I miss you, you will forever be in my thoughts.
Goodnight nanny Enid until we meet again. XxxX

Looking through some old photos and I come across one of my favourites. Nanny Enid and I at Christmas seeing Santa. I was scared to meet the old man with a beard but Nanny Enid always made you feel safe and warm. Prote ted while in her arms. Such a loving kind hearted lady. Going to miss your hugs Nanny Enid. And your sweet soft voice. ❤❤❤

You where one of the nicest people I could of asked to know, I really wish you and grandad could of still been here to meet you great granddaughter but i know that you will both be guiding her from above. There's so many things that we had planned to do and its such a shame that we wont be able to do them but i know that you are happy now that you're re united with grandad.
Love you forever and allways

Why is it always the best ones taken to soon? Enid (nan, as Leon and I called her) was the nicest, kindest and most caring lady I've ever met, welcomed us into the family with open arms along with Mick. Always had such a laugh at her parties, watching her a "bit" tipsy was so funny. She always had a listening ear, such a lovely lady inside and out. I can still hear her sweet sounding voice now. I'm so glad she got to meet Freddie, her smile when she held him was priceless. But now she's a peace with Mick, taken too soon but never forgotten. ❤️
