In loving memory of Kenneth Charles Floyd who sadly passed away on 21st September 2016. Devoted husband to Iris, loving father to Mark, Kelly and Jane and Grandfather to Ben, Billy, Mitchell, Abbie-Louise, James, Johanna and Samantha.

Kind hearted and fun loving, Ken was a gent amongst gentlemen. Evacuated during the war years as a youngster, Ken went on to serve in the R.A.F then built himself a career as a Car Salesman-a career which saw him through to retirement.

Marrying Iris in 1968, Ken became step-dad to Jane and had two further children, Mark and Kelly. The family moved from South London to the Garden of England-Kent.

Gardening was one of Ken's passions and he spent hours creating beautiful surroundings for his family.
Animals were another of Ken's great loves, keeping fish, birds, cats and dogs.

A regular member of a local bowls club, Ken loved the playing and the social side of the game spending many weekends away with Iris and friends. Ken also loved T.V, films, travel and was an avid follower of Formula one racing.

With a cheeky grin, mischievous nature and with the biggest, softest heart, Ken was adored by all who knew him. His legacy is a family of kind hearted, honest and loving people who he has nurtured through the years with his love and tenderness-a family who will miss him dearly.

There are no words that can express how much he will be missed. The happy memories of such a beautiful person help to dull the heartache. Ken would not want anyone to be sad. He never was.

Ken will be missed by all who knew him at the bowls club. He was always a good companion on the bowls green, always cheerful even when on a losing side!! Despite the onset of Parkinson's Ken still played in good humour . He kept in touch when not able to play and continued to take an interest in his club.
The club passes on condolences to Ken's family and will be donating some of our funds to Parkinsons UK in memory of our friend.
