In loving memory of Peggy Wentworth who sadly passed away on 2nd September 2016

Sadly on the 2nd September at just 3.05 am Peggy decided to take her last breaths on this earth after living with vascular dementia for almost 11 years. Peggy was born in Greenwich along with her brother John and sister rose. Who sadly also both lost their battles with dementia this year. We as a family have found it so hard to come to terms with losing them so close together, but they obviously wanted to all be together finally at peace. Peggy worked in Clark the chemist for many years her mother was Ethel tantony and her father was John tantony. Peggy met the love of her life Dennis John Thomas Wentworth at only 16 years old they then later married at St Alfie church Greenwich. They lived a long happy life together and had two wonderful children named Stephan and Sharon. Later on in life when their children had grown up and had children of their own. They made a big decision to move all the way to rochester in kent. We're they stayed happily until Peggy sadly became a widow in 2006 when we all lost our amazing grandad dad and great grandad our hearts were truly broken. Shortly after Peggys dementia took that dreaded turn for the worse she became very confused even though she insisted she was fine. we all knew we had to make that heartbreaking decision to put nan in to a home that cared for all her dementia needs. As we all knew deep down she wasn't going to get any better. But one thing we can all be thankful for is that dementia may have took Peggy's ability to carry on being a loving mum nan and great nan from her. But it never took her happy smiley self. She was a very happy go lucky lady that would smile until her heart was content. Peggy lived for her family she was such a strong women that would not give up without a fight. Peggy would have been so proud of each and every single one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren all in all she had 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren with one on they way. And I'm sure plenty more to come. Even though nan couldn't tell us how proud she was we only had to see the smile on her face to no she was. Also knowing how close we all are as a family now would make her so happy as nan never did like any confrontation. So one thing we can all make sure is that we all stick together as a family unit and keep that promise to make you even more proud. As one thing we have all learnt this year is that family is so very precious. Now go lay in the arms of your husband nan and give him a big kiss from all of us. Rest in paradise our angel in heaven. The brightest star in the sky. Xxxx

I would like to pay a tribute to my Aunt Peg. When I was growing up I would go to pegs and dens for my lunch and after school for tea. Stephen sharon and I we're brought up more like brother and sisters and peg and den were far more than Uncle and Aunt. At Christmas peg and den would come to my house for boxing day tea and we always played cards after we had our tea. It has been very hard these last couple of months because my mum Rose died then my Uncle John and now peg although we are all so very sad in one way its a release for them because they all suffered from dementia which meant we lost them some time ago. I feel that my mum and uncle we're calling to peg and my one wish is that they are all together in a much better place. I hope that my mum is with my dad John who was taken from us so young and peg is reunited with her beloved husband Den. Love you all forever in our hearts. June jim julie Natalie and family xxx
