Sadly we cant be there to say goodbye, but we have memories of our visits to Kent and seeing you each visit. Matthew remembers when you took him out for the day on the new railway. Not forgetting our family holiday in France with us all, yourself and Barbara and my mum and dad (Elsie & George).

Rest in peace - God bless John xx

To my Pommie Johnnie,

I can't thank you and Barbara enough for taking me in, sharing your home and treating me like one of your own when I first arrived in London, back in 1995. I didn't even know you but serendipitously met you through someone I was travelling with at the time.

You introduced me to London, helped me find my way around on the buses, tubes and trains and came with me to check out share houses making sure I didn't end up in a dodgy one! You and Barbara were always there to offer advise and provide a helping hand.

I had no idea at the time that our relationship would continue for so many years to come. You both sent your love, wishes and teddy bears for my wedding, took great delight in the birth of Harry (Prince Harry, as you called him) and was always interested in everything else going on in my life.

I will never take lightly that you bestowed upon me the title (and ornament) of Tinkerbelle - a Disney character that you loved. For my recent b'day you sent Denise looking everywhere around London to find me a Tinkerbelle b'day card! :-) You were so thoughtful and caring.

I am so lucky and grateful to have met you and Barbara and your wonderful family. I'm sorry I was unable to see you over the last couple of years and I can't make it to say goodbye to you at your funeral. :-( I do, however, have so many fond memories that I will treasure forever and am happy that you and Barbara are back together again. You loved each other so much.

Lots of love my Pommie Johnnie. I will miss you. Lots of love your Tinkerbelle. xxx

My One and Only Dad,
I can't believe you're gone. I wasn't ready for you to leave, but I'm so pleased that you are no longer suffering and that you're reunited with Mum.
Miss you so very much.
