Derek (Chalky) WHITE, Squadron Leader DFC (Ret’d). Died 9th July 2016, aged 94. Saw active service in the Mediterranean with 39 Squadron et al. 1943-45. A graduate of No. 8 Course, Empire Test Pilots School 1949. A long and full life, he leaves three sons, and many proud and inspired grandchildren and great grandchildren.
