In loving memory of Aubrey Edmund Norris Pear who died peacefully at home on 17th February 2016. Much loved husband of Doria and father of Stuart and Sian.

I found this notification by chance, while looking at something else. I didn't know Aubrey but I was aware of the name. My father worked for Pear's Chemist during the 1950s-60s, and if he was talking at home about what he did at work, he sometimes mentioned Aubrey (along with his father Edmund). I'd largely forgotten about that for the last 60 years.

  • I remember Mr Chamberlain who was the manager of my grandfather’s Sherwood shop when I was just a little girl. He was always very kind to me and to my brother Start when we lived for a few years in the flat above the shop with my parents, Aubrey and Doria. How kind of you to mention my Dad and my grandfather here.
