Former proprietor of Hilda’s Cafe
On 27th October 2026, at Kirkwood Hospice, formerly of Thornhill Lees, aged 86 years, Hilda, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Oldfield and recently Trevor Stubbs, dear mother of Simon, Kim, Marina and the late Tracy, mother in law of Andrew, Karl, Paul and Julie, much loved grandma of Richard, Christopher, Andrew, Matthew, Sarah, Kay, Peter, Thomas, Luke and Alice, and great grandma of Alfie, Olivia, Evelyn, Heidi, Ivo and Lucas.
Funeral service will be held at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Friday 20th November 2026 at 2pm. Friends and family please gather at the crematorium. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Hilda may be made online or placed in the collection box provided for the benefit of The Kirkwood.

We were so very sorry to hear about the sad loss of Hilda, she was a lovely person. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.

Losing a parent is something no words can truly make easier, but we hope you can take comfort in the many happy memories you have shared together over the years. Our thoughts are with you & all the family at this very difficult time.
