A more helpful and affable guy you could not hope to meet. Always generous with time and advice. Always a pleasure to deal with. A great boss.
Rest easy Stuart, you are missed.

Not sure where to begin. Top brother. Great mate. Partner in Crime. We shared laughs, we shared adversity, we supported each other when needed, but most of all, we loved being together. I don’t remember ever falling out with Stu over anything (apart from the odd toy when we were kids). We talked a lot, drank the odd pint, laughed a lot, and listened to a whole load of music.

He was a private person, but always happy to talk about Raine, Charlotte, Dom, and his two young grandsons. He was immensely proud of all of you.

He leaves a very big, brother shaped hole in my life. RIP Bro, and no, you were not AVERAGE……

Stuart Hart the fastest talking and brightest of our famous Chilwell Boys Club. We met at Alderman Pounder Infants School and remained friends for over half a century, from short trousers to grandparents in fact. I don’t remember any cross words or asking too much of one another other than friendship. Whether hitching a ride on the back of a scooter, talking music or putting the world to rights over a pint at the Cadland you’ve always been there. I remember your excitement first meeting Raine who you were later so proud to make your wife. Ness and I were married in the same year and both our unions have stood the test of time - how lucky we’ve been to find our soulmates eh.
A dedicated and caring father to Charlotte and Dominic you have done them proud pal

Facing your health challenges so courageously with your head held high, even in the darkest of times and clearly in pain you still managed to put others before yourself.

Your legacy to me will be to endeavour to be a better person.

Goodbye Mr Hart I’ll miss you.

Stuart was a colleague for a short period of time but a long term neighbour. He always remembered you and leaves a legacy of accomplished engineers who benefited from his guidance. You will be missed for always smiling and stopping for a chat.

Stuart was an incredible person, such a kind heart, an excellent Manager and and accomplished Engineer. He really helped me through some incredibly tough times and was immensely supportive of my personal circumstances and actively encouraged me to achieve in my rail career. A great loss to everyone who knew him and much love to his family, who I know he clearly adored.

I only knew Stuart a short time & that was several years ago but he was one of those great people that you always knew were in the room & one who prided himself, as another who knew him infinitely better than I has shared, in being a cantankerous whatname!
Rest in peace, Stuart

I shall share 2 of the last messages from Stuart to me, which I think sum him up very well:
"Ha - I am actually extremely shy as it happens, so it can be a challenge to present an affable persona at times. I'm also a cantankerous old bugger :-)"

"I have to fake it in a daily basis - apart from the cr*p dad jokes - they come naturally."

Funny, helpful, supportive, and modest.

In memory of Stu, whose love for his family, passion for proper music (no boy bands here!), and a wicked sense of humour brought so much joy to those around him. Sending love and strength to Raine, Charlotte, Dominic and family. Xx
