Frances Mary Barnes (2 Sep 1951 - 10 Oct 2026)

Frances was a kind and gentle soul, with a playful spirit, a sense of adventure, and remarkable strength and resilience. She spent many years working in science and technology before following her interests in holistic healing and aromatherapy. She had a lifelong curiosity about wellbeing and the human spirit, finding joy in meditation, Tai Chi, gardening, and other creative pursuits.

She was a loving mother and grandmother (nana) to six grandchildren, a much-loved sister, and a caring friend to many. She had a natural gift for caring for others and bringing kindness into their lives. In her later years, she faced the challenges of Alzheimer's with extraordinary grace, gentleness and equanimity, qualities that reflected so much of how she had lived her life. We remember her with great love and gratitude for all that she brought into our lives.

In keeping with Frances's love of nature and her gentle approach to life, we have chosen a natural burial, allowing her to return peacefully to the earth. We have arranged flowers for the ceremony, so no additional floral tributes are needed.
