In Loving Memory of Janet Bennett

Janet passed away peacefully at Queen's Hospital on 30th September 2026, aged 78 years, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of David, treasured mum of Colin and Victoria, and much-loved nanna of Maxxi.

Janet was a truly wonderful woman with a kind heart, a generous spirit and a wonderfully cheeky sense of humour. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether to family, friends, neighbours or animals in need, and touched the lives of so many people through her kindness and compassion.

Janet gave so much of herself to others, from volunteering and caring for animals to supporting her children and grandchildren in everything they did. Nothing was ever too much trouble for someone she loved.

A devoted wife, mum and nanna, Janet always put her family at the heart of everything she did. She was fiercely independent, full of character and had a remarkable ability to make people smile.

Despite the challenges she faced in later life, particularly her courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis, Janet never lost her sense of humour, her determination or the wonderful personality that made her so special.

She will be remembered with immense love and affection by her family, friends and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

A truly remarkable lady, forever loved and never forgotten.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in Janet's memory are welcome for **Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis**, which raises awareness of this devastating disease and supports those affected by it.
