Every memory of John is of his big smile, warm welcome and excellent chat. He was at the centre of many a fun night. The very best of men.

John was my first accountant and unfailingly patient in answering my endless ridiculous questions ... then working out his numbers in precise pencil on paper in the most beautiful script. Hey presto, it turned out I had to give the taxman far less than I had imagined. Kind, engaging and always with a smile. What a legend!

Such sad news about lovely John whom we have known for 30 years. Was devastated when we heard as we both have great memories of John being such an attentive generous soul. Whilst talking to John, and how he loved to talk, his questions and interest in you were such a rare trait, and then 3 months later would remember what we chatted about!!! These are memories we will hold dear. Goodbye to a lovely man.
From Rob, John himself and my dad Dave played golf and this one time he hit the ball 4 times into the lake , Rob said it was hilarious as John then placed it up on the green, brilliant

Such a kind and generous man, John and Gaye always had an open-door policy at their house, which in turn made us all feel like it was a 2nd home. Without fail John would have a small bottle of French lager in your hand upon arrival as to ensure you weren't going anywhere whilst reminiscing of Arsenal and Chelsea players past and present in the hallway. Fantastic memories. RIP John, sure you'll have been bending the ear of some Arsenal heroes in the sky.
