Steven John Edgar (21 Sep 1962 - 28 Sep 2026)

In loving memory of Steven John Edgar, known to many as 'Carpet Steve', who sadly passed away on 28th September 2026.

A message from Nicole:

My dad was a man who could be many things all at once... stubborn, outspoken, hilarious, fiercely protective and yet incredibly kind. He certainly had a big personality, and anyone who knew him could never forget him.

Dad taught me so much about life, and I'm certain he had the same affect on many others.

He was far from perfect, but none of us are. He was my dad, and I will always love him for everything he was, everything he taught me and all the memories we shared.

Losing him has left a hole in my life that can never be filled. I will miss his voice, his humour, and even his stubbornness.

I am incredibly proud to call him my dad. I will carry everything he taught me for the rest of my life, and a part of him will always live on in me.

Forever my dad, forever loved, and forever missed.

Steve’s sudden illness and passing have had a profound impact on his loved ones, and we hope that donations in his memory may help contribute towards research and better treatments for others facing cancer in the future.
