It’s so hard to comprehend that you’re gone. I only just saw you in June at Mum’s funeral, and you looked so well, with your whole life still ahead of you. There is simply no rhyme or reason to losing someone so young.

Your mum and dad, your brothers, and everyone who loves you will miss you more than words could ever express. I guess it really is true what they say—only the good die young.

Keep Auntie Kate company up there, and watch over your brothers and your family. I hope wherever you are, you know just how deeply you were loved and how terribly you will be missed.

Rest peacefully, Korey. Forever young, forever loved, and never forgotten. 🤍

To my beautiful nephew,

I still can’t quite believe I’m writing these words. You were only 20, and there should have been so many more memories to make, so many more adventures to have, and so much more of your incredible life ahead of you.

I will always remember you as that little cheeky boy with your mischievous smile, full of energy and personality, and somehow always managing to make us laugh. Watching you grow from that cheeky little boy into the incredibly talented young man you became was such a privilege.

There’s so many memories and you just know that one is the fifi and the flowertots toy I got you, it made your dad so mad you loved it and constantly had it playing!! Another one of the memories I’ll treasure most is our time at Download Festival. The music, the laughter, the atmosphere, and simply being there together are memories I will hold onto forever. I never imagined then that one day those moments would become so precious to me.

You grew into someone with so much talent, passion and potential. You had a way of making your mark on the people around you.

Twenty years feels far too short. It’s heartbreaking to think of all the things you won’t get to experience and all the memories we won’t get to make. But I promise I will hold tightly to the memories we do have — the laughter, the cheekiness, the music, the adventures, and the amazing young man you became.

You will always be my cheeky little nephew, no matter how grown-up and talented you became.

I hope you knew just how loved you were. You will never be forgotten, and a piece of you will always live on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing you.

Rest peacefully, my amazing nephew. Until we meet again. ❤️
