It was a priviledge to work with Mike from when I joined Boots in 2002 all the way thru to his retirement in 2021. Always a team player, a cheerleader and always involved in the fun as well as the hard work! Will remember him for his smile, his jacket and his bike! Thanks Mike for all you gave to the world - and wow, what an incredible and humbling service of Thanksgiving. With much love and best wishes to the family you leave behind, from Angela

Funeral Director
In loving memory of Mike Paterson who sadly passed away on 20th September 2026, following a cardiac event on the 31st August. Mike was a loving husband to Karen and devoted father to Andrew, Thomas and Daniel, and an adoring grandad to Teddy and Otis, who were his world. Family was paramount in Mike's life and the family are grateful for the 60 years that we shared life with him, along side his brothers Richard, Brian and Alan and the wider extended family that he held dear. His second love was singing and spreadsheets, connecting with friends and colleagues through The Major Oak Chorus and Boots, where he worked for 26 years until retiring.
His faith shaped his teenage years and even the occasion of meeting Karen, and was central to his marriage, family life, work and community involvement. He is now at heavenly peace with Jesus, no doubt having already taken up the tenor part in the celestial choir, and we look forward to a future eternal reunion with him. There will be a private family cremation in the morning but please do join us for a Thanksgiving Service in celebration of Mike's life, at Redeemer Church, Beeston, Nottingham from 1pm for a 1.30pm service. In true Mike style there will be cake, puddings and savoury refreshments. Any and all who knew Mike and knows the family are welcome, as we say our final goodbye for a life well lived and well loved. No flowers please but instead any donations will be split between British Heart Foundation, Air Ambulance, Hayward House Hospice and Renew Wellbeing and can be made via this page or on the day. Dress code is smart casual with some colour. Please indicate your attendance via this site as that helps us plan the day. May God Bless you all as we have been blessed over the years by Mike. The Paterson Family.
