A deeply cherished Mum and Nan, who passed away peacefully on 22nd Sept. Mum was known for her caring and selfless nature, she devoted her life to her family and those around her, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness, she always put others needs ahead of her own. Mum has always been a very strong and determined lady, especially where her health was concerned, always wanting to push through every day, regardless of how she felt, but on this occasion the fight just proved too much for her. She adored her grandchildren Kayleigh, Jodie & Matt, and they her. We are all going to miss her so, so much.
Now reunited with our lovely Dad, they can start a new life together.
Sleep tight Mum we all love you very much, your loving family XXXXX

Please wear bright colours to Mums funeral. No flowers please, donations to the Wisdom Hospice would be much appreciated.

Aunty Jean - what can I say?
I can echo all the other lovely words that have been written by your amazing family - they knew you better than anyone else, but whenever we saw you it was like seeing a version of mum ….. you where definitely made from the same strong determined fabric that made you who you were
So glad we got to see you over the summer - despite your health problems you were still the same as always, smiling ,happy and fully aware of everything that was going on.
Saying goodbye is never easy…. and we’re sorry we can’t make your final journey… we’ll raise a glass or two in your honour and memory …you will be missed and will leave a big hole …
Rest in peace ….. much love ❤️… Jenny and Kevin xxxx

Jean, what can I say, you certainly weren't the mother in law from hell, the complete opposite in fact. We had a great friendship, with a lot of banter, thank you so much for that. You have turned up countless pairs of overalls and trousers for me, always joking about my short legs! not to mention the making/repairing of boat covers, what am I going to do now, I don't think Sharon has your skills in this department!! We will all miss you very much.
Sleep tight Jean xx

Enjoying a paddle. Always had to have a 99 and a paddle when visiting beach, even though this was October, a bit chilly!

Well Mum, you took us all by surprise! I thought we had you for a few more year's yet, but it wasn't to be. You fought your last battle with your normal amazing strength & determination, but this time it just wasn't enough. You have left an enormous gap in my life, and I don’t know how I am going to fill it. We were always out shopping, or going to the garden centre, doing a bit of browsing and then a bit of lunch, spending loads of money LOL. Even on the day’s you weren’t feeling great, you always said “I’ll work through it”, needless to say you could be very stubborn at times, fiercely independent, we all loved you for that. If I came down to say, clean your windows that you couldn’t reach, you would give me a look that said it all, then say “actually I’ve already done them”, you used to make me so angry on those occasions.
Here is a little phrase for you that I found “If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again”
It only leaves me to say Mum, I love you so very much, and I will miss you more than words can say.
Sleep tight until we meet again, look after Dad. XXXX

Jean, it feels like only yesterday, but nearly 35 years ago you embraced me into your family with open arms and treated me as one of your own. Since then you have always been there to guide with love, a wise word and generous heart. It has been a privilege to call you my mother in law. The void you leave in our lives will never be filled.

RIP xx
