I would like to thank everybody who attended, it made me so proud for Judith. To Jane who composed and read the eulogy, to the florist for those wonderful flowers, it all helped turn a day of mourning into a day which celebrated Jude’s life, brilliant , thanks to you all, xxx

It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to my dear friend Judith, who passed away in September.
Our friendship began over 60 years ago when we met at Edward Cludd School in Southwell. From those early school days, a very special friendship grew, and over the years we remained a close group of friends sharing so many happy times, laughter and memories.
We played sport together, and Judith was undoubtedly the best hockey player amongst us. She had a wonderful sporting spirit and a real enthusiasm for life, but it was her warmth, fun and friendship that made her so special.
Although the years passed and life took us in different directions, we always found our way back to each other. We met regularly over the years and treasured the time we spent together. Judith was full of life, always fun to be around, and someone who made people feel happy simply by being there.
Most of all, Judith kind, loyal and caring, with a wonderful ability to bring people together. Our friendship lasted through more than six decades, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have known her.
She leaves behind a lifetime of wonderful memories. Judith will be deeply missed, but she will always be remembered with great affection, laughter and love by the friends who were so lucky to know her.
