David Webb (18 Oct 1951 - 10 Sep 2026)

In loving memory of David Webb, who sadly passed away on 10th September 2026.

David was a much-loved husband, dad, grandad and friend, and a man who will be missed by more people than he probably ever realised. He was a man of few words, yet somehow seemed to know everybody. Friends were forever calling in to see him — some of them we didn’t even know ourselves!

David could turn his hand to just about anything and there was always a story to tell about something he had done in his life. He had a lifelong love of tractors, mechanics and fixing things, and especially loved his beloved Fergy — so much so that after selling it, he took a photograph of it being taken away, only to end up buying it back again!

He was happiest with the simple things: tinkering with something outside, seeing people call in, and being settled in front of The Chase at 5pm on the dot. He even had his own collection of traffic cones outside the house and refused to have the driveway done because, in his words, it “kept the riff raff out.”

Above everything else, David was a family man. He knew that if he ever needed anything, his family would be there in a flash. He was deeply loved, cared for and surrounded by the people who meant the most to him right until the end.

His absence has left an enormous space in our family and life will never quite be the same without him. But we have a lifetime of stories, laughter and memories to carry with us.

Forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
