Georgina Noreen Goody (17 May 1982 - 6 Sep 2026)

Georgina was my manager at NatWest for over three years, but she became so much more than just a manager to me.

One of my earliest memories of Georgina was her telling me off for constantly clicking my pen 🤣. I think I knew pretty early on that we were going to get on.

Georgina didn’t just help me progress and grow professionally; she also supported me enormously on a personal level. When my mum became ill, Georgina was there for me in ways I will never forget. What she did for me during that time meant more than I could ever put into words, and I will be forever grateful to her.

She was a genuinely special person who made a difference to so many people, and I feel incredibly lucky to have known and worked with her. Even when she was no longer my manager she would always look out for me and check in.

Georgina, you will be remembered and missed dearly.

Today we said the first goodbye to George and a chance for some in Essex who knew and loved her to celebrate the joyous person that she was. Great to meet Carl, Martina. Michael, Mags and Anthony and to spend time reflecting on the wonderful and beautiful person that she was. George has left such a positive legacy! All of the thoughts today are of love and light and that was her! My thoughts are with all her family and her Dad as you say you own special goodbye over the coming week. George, your beautiful spirit lives on strong 💪

Big sister & little sister is how I met George - she is the little sister of my closest friend Martina. Together with my little sister us big sisters would regularly foot the bill for food & drinks. The best treat though was the laughter we all shared during those times. And G could laugh and would have us all in stitches. Although always fondly remembered, I will forever treasure the sage advice she gave to a waiter at the Cafe Royal with a very deadpan expression on her face “can’t you just put it back in the fridge then” - you had to be there to appreciate the wit !
