On 3rd September we lost our fabulous Kevin. He was taken away from us far too soon, following a short but brave battle with Penile Cancer.
We hope that you can join us on Sat 3rd October at Gedling Crematorium at 11.30 to celebrate the wonderful life of Kev. We will be reflecting on all that Kev was, a devoted son, fiercely protective older brother, loving husband, attentive uncle but most of all a wonderful dad.
We have received so many lovely comments about Kev and I think we can safely say he was one of life’s nicest blokes.
Kev would want everyone to feel comfortable so there is no strict dress code but shorts are absolutely encouraged as a respectful nod to Kev and his legendary commitment to this attire.
We would also love for as many of you to join us afterwards at The Lambley Village Kitchen to raise a glass to Kev and share all your memories of him. Whilst we are there we will have a playlist of songs that remind us of Kev or that we know he liked so if there is anything specific you would like adding to this please let one of the family know.
We would ask that you do not send flowers but hope that instead if you should wish you could donate to a charity either Nottinghamshire who helped look after Kev in his final days or NSPCC which was a charity that Kev supported.
If anyone can’t attend but would link details of a live link please let us know.

A lovely friend and person, always open to talk. Great memories that will never be forgotten over the years when walking the boundaries or in the bars where the banter was always excellent and Kev's dry sense of humour and one liners interjected throughout the normal chaos. Thoughts with all the family and close friends, we will miss him.

Absolutely devastated to hear of this very sad news. Kev was the most genuine person you could meet. I remember Kev saying to me "No one said life was fair" - just how true are these words now !!. Sending all our love to Justine, Adam and the rest of Kev's family. Go now Kev on your onward journey it was a privilege to have known you whilst working at EMAS / Golf. Love Paul & Joanne Groves xx

Kev, always the first name I was hoping to be picked in the football team on a Saturday. You won’t know the influence you had in helping me build confidence as a young player. Glad I gave you the last laugh too with Adam getting me out at cricket a few weeks ago. My thoughts with the Rees family and friends. Rest in peace

Really saddened to hear about Kev. We might have been Boots Athletic teammates more than 22 years ago, but those days, and the people you shared them with, stay with you.

Far too soon. Rest easy, Kev. It was a privilege to have shared those days with you.

My deepest condolences to all the Rees family, his friends and everyone who knew and loved him. Thinking of you all at such a difficult time. ❤️
