I have such fond memories of Ray. As a young child growing up in the 1960's, whenever I visited cousin Linda and Ray, Ray's sideburns and fashionable winklepickers convinced me that he was Tom Jones! In football kickabouts in the park, those winkle pickers didn't stunt his football skills! Thankfully as an adult my wife and children also met Ray on many occasions and were taken with his friendliness and sunny demeanour. I never knew Ray to be anything other than cheerful, fun and friendly, and he was loved and greatly admired too by my late Mum and Dad, Betty and Reg. Ray's love and devotion to his family and friends were appropriately rewarded with a long, happy and meaningful life. Love to Linda and all the family, David, Sue, Daniel, Hannah, Marc and Orla - and hoping the wonderful memories you have of him can in some way ease the pain of loss. Xxx

Ray was the pillar of his family that was clear to see. Such a lovely man. Ray & Lin welcomed me into their home for legendary roast dinners ‘ back in the day’. It was wonderful to reconnect at Elaine’s wedding last year. Sending condolences to the whole family - RIP Ray x x
