who sadly passed away on Tuesday11th August 2026
Aged 79 years
Larger than life & threw himself wholeheartedly into everything he did, unapologetically himself everywhere he went, he will be missed by many, far & wide.
Charles’s funeral will take place at St Margaret’s Church, Rainham, ME8 7JH on Tuesday 22nd September at 2pm followed by a wake at The Holiday Inn, Maidstone Road, Rochester ME5 9SF. (Close family are invited to attend a private committal at Medway crematorium following the church service)
Charles was a traditionalist so please wear black, respectfully.
Nearest parking for the church is the pay & display car park behind the cricketers pub. Parking at the holiday inn is plentiful, but please register your car registration with reception to avoid a fine!

Had many chats with Charlie at Maidstone Model Engineering Society and he would email me regularly. A pleasure to be with and he always told me what a good job I was doing as Secretary of the club. I enjoyed our chats and will miss his funny stories and good sense of humour.
