In loving memory of George Newstead who sadly passed away on 4th August 2026, aged 84 years.
George will be deeply missed by his son Adam, daughter Annie, grandchildren, family, friends and all those at Hengist Field Care Centre where he worked as a volunteer and all his fishing friends.
Family flowers only please, however if desired, donations in George's memory for 'Alzheimer's Society' would be gratefully received and may be made online via this page. Thank you.
If you are able to join the family for George's service, please wear colourful casual clothes. The service will take place on Tuesday 8th September at 1pm (UK Time) at the Garden of England Crematorium, Sheppey Way, Bobbing, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 8GZ
After the service, all are welcome to join the family for light refreshments at The Woodstock, Broadoak Road, Sittingbourne, ME9 8AG.

George will be missed top man known him since his wife pat came into hengistfield and got close when covid hit the call I made to George so he could still see pat and most times George was on a boat fishing which made us both laugh thinking of the family at this sad time love Debbie

George was a great match fisherman and an even greater person. Spent so many hours in his company in all weather he just loved being on the bank. RIP George back with your lovely wife that you cared for with unrelenting love
