Dear Paul,
I have been reading the messages on here but have found it hard to add my own.
You were, and still are my big brother by 2 1/2 years. We grew up play fighting in the front room and as a teenager you teased me endlessly! I have many happy memories of you me and Matt growing up. Your endless singing (I know a lot of Pasadenas lyrics) immaculate outfits and random food choices such as Sunday roast with salad cream!
We will miss the knock at the front door, you in a new pair of trainers with your snack and drink of choice in hand, coming over to catch up.
I still can’t believe I won’t see you again in this lifetime but I will see you on the other side for sure.
Rest assured we will be there for Emma (and the cats!). Her love and devotion towards you is unmatched and I will forever be grateful to how she fought and cared for you in your last weeks.

Thank you for being the best brother and Uncle.

Paul, you will be missed and I know that always wanted the best for our niece Emma your relationship was built on love, trust and being there for each other. It was such a pleasure to have you both as guests in Australia 20 years ago and show you some of the country - it was fun to have you here.

It was also an honour to be a Groomsman at your wedding to Emma, I really appreciate being part of your very special day. It was such a wonderful occasion and to see you both so happy made all of our family privileged to be there.

It is such a sad time but I know that you loved Emma and were so close
as family, that love will still remain, it does not go away, it is eternal.

Our family will miss seeing you in England when we visit, all of us think of you as a gentle, caring and kind Man, you will not be forgotten.

Paul, you were the first to make me an aunty, and were loved from the start. I was so proud to be chosen to be your Godmother, and it was a privilege to watch you grow up into an incredible son, young man & husband. Our families shared a lot of great times together over the years especially Christmases and holidays. You & Emma were together for over 20 years and the bond you shared was special for all to see. I’ll always be grateful for those memories & we will all miss you so very much.

My brother, my mate,

Paul, words don’t do justice to the chasm you have left in the lives of your family and friends. You fought so, so bravely. I’m still struggling with the ‘why’ and I’m sure I always will, but the only solace is that you are now at peace and with others we have loved and lost. It was a privilege to call you my brother and you were genuinely the most kind hearted and gentle person I knew, with a heart of gold 💛 and a wicked sense of humour. I promise to keep an eye out for Emma, now and always and I promise to make you proud every single day. Have a beer up there with Dad and save me a stool at the bar.
