In loving memory of Matthew David Panter who sadly passed away on 4th August 2026, aged 23 years.

At just 23 years old, Matthew was taken from us far too soon. But in his short life he brought us all so much love, laughter and we are so extraordinarily proud of the fight and resilience he showed through a life filled with so many difficult times due to his health challenges.

Matthew loved spending time with his family, gaming and building complex lego builds.

He was also a huge Marvel, Star Wars and DC fan and loved formula 1!.

We will miss him dearly, but have such wonderful memories of his sense of humour and cheeky smile!

Rather than floral tributes Matthew's family have requested that donations in his honour for Demelza Hospice Care for Children would be welcome and can be made online via this site.

Also in his honour, they would like to raise funds to fund equipment for the local hospital's children's wards (Dolphin and Penguin) who helped Matthew for many years.

These donations can be made directly to the charity by using the details below:

Name: Medway Hospital Charity (Medway NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Fund)
Sort code – 60-70-80
Account number – 10031871
Reference – MC0336

For those attending the funeral, Matthew hated formal wear and especially suits and trousers!, we therefore ask that everyone wears their favourite colourful clothing, Marvel, DC, Star Wars t-shirts, shorts, dress - just please no suits or ties!

  • Thank you your kind donation and words Sarah, it's been a tough few weeks, but we are helping each other through this. We are so grateful for the extra 19 years we were given, but it's never enough and we are still completely heartbroken. Sending our love to you all. Christian and Sharon
