Peacefully, with family at his side, on August 7th aged 68 years, Fred. The devoted husband of Sandra and beloved son of Betty and the late Hugh. The much-loved dad of Nicola and Darren, treasured grandad of Layla, Leon, Andrew and Thomas. A dearly loved brother, uncle and a good friend of many. Loved and remembered always.

Family and friends please meet on Friday September 4th for a service in Independent Methodist Church, Hetton-le-Hole at 11.45am, committal to follow in Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Fred gratefully received for STS Charity (Cancer Support), a donation box will be available in the church. All are welcome afterwards to continue celebrating Fred’s life in The Three Tuns, Hetton-le-Hole.

I remember all the fun we had as kids when we came up from the smoke to visit. The laughter, the walks into Hetton. Happy times. It was good to catch up from time to time over the years after that. Many happy memories.
