It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Bowra, who peacefully passed away on 28th July 2026.

Gordon was a much-loved father, grandfather and great grandfather, as well as a family man, and friend, whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of so many over the years. He was always ready to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it. His friendly nature and genuine compassion made him well known and liked.

Gordon loved working outdoors and dedicated many years of his life to a profession he truly loved, working in agriculture. He took immense pride in his work and to those who knew him, Gordon was someone who could always be relied upon. He was always happiest helping others, whether it was fixing something that was broken, sharing his knowledge, or simply being there when someone needed him. He had time for everyone and asked for very little in return.

Above all else, family meant everything to Gordon. He was a devoted husband to Rose, and the family take comfort in knowing they are together once again. He was a loving father to Tony, Pauline, and Lorraine, and a much-loved grandad, relative, and friend whose love, guidance, and quiet strength will stay with them always.

Family flowers only, please.

If desired, donations in Gordon's memory to the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex would be gratefully received and may be made online via this page.

Thank you for your kind thoughts, messages, and support at this difficult time.
